hey all, we are heading to the BLM lands of se Ca. and sw Az for Jan. I had read about a solution for scrubbing yourself down with, on the net somewhere, but now can't find it. It used baby shampoo and oil plus other stuff. any ideas? we don't have the luxury of an RV but we do have a 4x4, so bathing will be challenging to say the least.
any and all tips appreciated for our adventure. We are used to roughing it as we camp out in BC with no facilities, but there is always a river or lake to jump into.
cheers

Here is one product that claims to provide a waterless body wash.

There is also a shampoo called "No Rinse". The only source I found today was on ebay - see No Rinse Shampoo There is also a No RInse body bath product.

stavemudder,

There is a product that is like a super baby wipe (larger/thicker). These are used in hospitals for giving waterless baths. I know they are available at wally world because I have purchased some there for myself.

stavemudder,

If you mean Quartzsite when you say SW Arizona, there are clean, inexpensive showers at one of the local laundromats in town. Just FYI.

Here is the recipe I think you have been looking for:
1 roll of Bounty paper towels, cut in half with cardboard core removed.
Mix together 2 1/4 cups of water, 2 Tablespoons of baby bath or baby oil and 1 Tablespoon of baby oil. Soak 1 piece of the Bounty towel in solution and put in a container - rubbermaid or empty wipes conatainer.

When elk hunting in the sticks, I go the baby-wipe route. No complaints yet from my hunting partners...
