What is boondocking?

Saw an excellent thread on this at Woodall's. The comment I liked was that "boondocking is when you can see the entire Milky Way from your RV."

Camping or parking RV withouth any hook ups. Can be at Walmart or in the wilderness. With the right kind of RV you can park for days without hook up.

In 30+ years of camping we have only camped in spots that had full hookups once, 2 more times with legtricity only. The Milky Way is a much better night light than a high pressure sodium street light.

The Milky Way does mean almost zero light pollution - and we like it that way.
