Can anyone tell me if there is good, safe, level boondocking available in Wickenburg. Thanks in advance for your help. We will be traveling that way tomorrow, and would like to get further south than Kingman.

We looked around last year and ended up staying at the Escapees camp near Congress. They have dry camp parking there but prohibit generators. We just went ahead a got a hook up for $10 more. We will be interested in other comments to your question as well.

As a former resident of Wickenburg, I suspect that the recent flooding has altered the few boondocking areas that would have been suitable for a large motorhome to the point that only very recent knowledge will be useful. The dirt roads change with every rainstorm, and this year's were severe.

The higher ground in Congress and Morristown is probably a safer bet.

Thanks Mike, never thought of that. As you say, we may need to think elsewhere unless someone has just been there.

You might want to check out Burro Creek Campground north of Wickenburg on Hwy 93 (west side of the road).
