Wireless Fence System While Boondocking?

Hi All ! We have a wireless underground fence system at home for our two labs (and they do extremely well with it). Years ago we tried one of the portable ones for our house but the area was too small and the system malfunctioned.
We are curious if any boondockers with dogs use the wireless portable fence system and your feedback.
We are NOT looking to use this system in a camp ground, but rather out in the boonies where there are few or no other campers around. Mainly for when we are hanging around outside with our labs...giving the off-leash / tie time but still keeping them contained.
Any feed back would be great. Again...we are not looking to use this as a replacement for their leashes and tie outs. (And we know it won't keep critters out...)
Thanks bunches all!!

I have seen the underground system staked fence post to fence post above ground and it seemed to work very well. Sorry no more details.

Good Luck

Because it's always changing with each place you visit it will be tough to train the dogs each time. Perhaps with enough flags it might work and the dogs would simple get trained to the flags. Every dog is a little different, you'll just have to try it and see.
I am pretty confident that would not work with our two schnauzers. Squirrels are just too hard for them to resist.

I was just talking about that with a friend.
He sets his dog with it all the time. Only at the house and trailer.
He told me it took time and patience to train his dog. When the dog got trained the dog will know what to do when the beep comes on and will return home.
