The 5th Anniversary rally starts tomorrow, Tuesday 10-2-07, however approx. half of the 50 rigs registered are already here! We had an impromptu pot luck dinner at our coach Sunday night after about 12-15 coaches arrived, and the others came in today. The official arrival day is tomorrow, and all are promised a week filled with fun, food, friendship, and a few seminars thrown in for good measure. Stay tuned for updates later in the week. ED

ROGER: Too bad you could not make it. After breakfast, Allison put on a seminar and the Q&A session kept it going well past its 1-1/2 hour time slot. Then, this afternoon, the National Service Director and one of the Regional Service Managers conducted the WCC seminar which attracted almost all the men and quite a few women owners. That one lasted almost till the cocktail hour started at 4:00, followed by a good dinner. Then the gifts and door prizes started to flow before the entertaiment began. It made for a long day, but a fun day all around. The UFO demo coach provided by WCC for the Ride & Drives is a new Winnebago Destination 39W = SWEEEET & QUITE! ED

We are "first timers" at this Workhorse rally and are having a great time. Good food, good seminars, and great people. Keep up the good work Ed and Chuck. We will be back for more.

That's what it is all about, for sure. WCMC is a social club whose primary "mission" is to provide opportunities for fun and fellowship for its members. Many of us are "working" hard to make the rally happen, and playing even harder. Personally, I'm having a ball!

After breakfast there were two vendor seminars. The ladies enjoyed a style show and luncheon, while their husbands had to fend for themselves, before attending an informative seminar put on by Caterpillar engine. The social hour was followed by another great meal, more door prizes, and great entertainment which "involved" a few members (who probably wish to remain nameless) Our business meeting will round out the day on Friday, but then the "Rivah Rally" portion kicks in for two more days of Chesapeake Bay seafood and a cruise!

This 5th Anniversary Rally has really turned out to be an especially fun event. DriVer was seen wearing a big grin because he was conducting the UFO Ride & Drives today, and it just happens to be a Winnie.

Tonight marked the end of the Urbanna Rally.
After our business meeting Friday morning we started taking our scheduled rides on the "Bethpager", a restored Chesapeake Bay Deadrise wooden hull commercial fisher, powered by a Detroit Diesel. A fun trip down the "rivah" and into Urbanna Harbor and back to Bethpage took about an hour per cruise. She carries around 45 passengers, so we had tickets for three different cruises. After a social hour at my coach's patio we had a dinner followed by Vegas style entertainment from the band TFC. More socializing followed.

After the full Country Breakfast Sat morning, most of us relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Then the patio social resumed until time for the Crab Feast (all you could eat and drink for 3 hours!) followed by a Karoke session on another member's patio, complete with propane fireplace. We have been blessed by near-perfect weather, a great facility, and a friendly bunch of owners who have enjoyed fellowship in coastal Virginia all week.

Most of us depart for our next destination Sunday morning. Hugs, handshakes, and farewells have been going on all night.

Next time, we'll be in Tucson, AZ starting April 15th, 2008. Hope to see you there! ED

Chuck and Marsha, Ed and Suzanne, THANK YOU for a wonderful rally and for all the hard work.

Everyone who participated made this a memorable occasion for Linda and I.
Meeting so many Workhorse owners and their frindliness made this a fun time. Looking forward to seeing all of you in Myrtle Beach next fall. Godspeed and may all of you always have a fair wind at your back...
