OK, Neverno: Thanks for the PM. I looked you up in the online application database-and you are there! It shows you completed the application on August 22, 2006.

Please allow me to explain the process, for you and other readers of this forum. When you apply online you get a response email telling you "we got it". This also triggers an email to the WCMC Secretary and she MAILS you the information you need to return to her along with your dues check. After she gets your dues, you are admitted to the membership and she MAILS you a set of credentials and other club materials.

While this process is NOT as efficient as we hope it will be someday soon, it is all we have today. Unfortunately, delays do occur as the club is run BY and FOR its members- NOT by Workhorse (the company). The level of interest is very gratifying and our membership continues to grow dramatically. For example, in addition to the printed applications which are mailed directly to the secretary, the online applications received is running as follows:

May, 2006 = 21
June 2006 = 27
July 2006 = 51
Aug. 2006 = 30 so far, thru the 29th.

So, as you may imagine, our Secretary is one busy lady!

There are changes and improvements to the online process which are being planned and hopefully will be implemented soon. We MAY even be able to include the ability to charge your initiation fee and annual dues to a credit card, as part of the application process, to eliminate some of the very time-consuming mailings which are done now.

You should be receiving the first of two mailings shortly. Please return it as instructed, so we can welcome you as a new member! I look forward to seeing you at a club event somewhere down the road. ED
