Please be advised .....
We are currently looking at Hurricane Hanna which may impact the Carolina coastline. (maybe not)
When you come to the rally in Myrtle Beach, just so you know, if we are placed under a "mandatory evacuation" by the Govenor of South Carolina or by any other state official that orders an evacuation you will be refunded all monies for days that you did not spend in the campground. A check will come in the mail direct from Ocean Lakes, guaranteed! I am also assuming that there maybe a refund for meals as well that have not been eaten.
Regarding the campground fees, we've been there and done that a few years back; check caught up with us in Connecticut.
There will be a campground employee at the gate that will collect your gatepass. On the gatepass you need to show the dates that you are supposed to be in the campground typically 10-6 through 10/10, your site number, vehicle registration number (tag) and last name.
So no worries about your campground fee or meals not eaten if we are placed under a mandataory evacuation. (Only!)
October is a beautiful time on the Grand Strand and I'm expecting that we're all going to have a great time.
Greetings from Site #88, Evergreen Camp Resort in Alfred, ON on the old Trans Canada highway Route 17.
Gasoline is about $1.25L = 4.75 per gallon.

I must be missing something here, The only gate pass I have is for the extra days we will be spending there. Should I have one for the rally?

Lee, You'll get your "Rally" gate pass on Monday the 6th.
Now if you booked extra days after (or before) the rally for example and you are evacuated those are 100% refundable.

Steve, I'm sorry I did not notice the exact price.
Gasoline today averages at 1.32 per liter here in Canada. In this area gas it's priced at about 1.20 to 1.25 per L. Diesel costs about .08 to .10 cents more per liter.
3.78519 liter = 1 US gallon.

Not to worry. Depending on when you sent in your registration you should have received or will shortly be receiving a Rally Confirmation letter.
We have a number of rally registrations right now that we are not going to be able to process until we get home on 9/16.
IF you do not receive a confirmation and you know you paid just check in at the gatehouse. Tell them you are with the Workhorse Rally and you should get your gate pass at that time.

LEE: I'm thinking Mike meant the 6th of October=arrival day. I've been wrong before!
Even those members who arrive early (self-made reservations) will get new gate passes on Monday, which will cover the rally duration dates. ED

DUH!!! If I had looked at a calendar I would have known he was talking Oct.
Thanks for setting me straight.

Well .... It looks like you're not going to have to evacuate this time.
Looks like ground zero is going to be in between Corpus Christi and San Antonio.

JDSR: Are you a club member? If so, we MAY be able to accomodate some limited access, however, this is a WCMC event and we did not make provisions for "Day Passes". ED
