Anyone know what's up with the Air Force freq camper program?? Sent in my tier 1 document on 12 Mar 09 and received no response. Sent it in again in July and still no response.
Is there someone that can be contacted to complain about the snuffies ignoring the program?? I would contact an IG but don't know which one to contact.. Are others having the same problem as I or maybe they changed the address of the administrator?? What gives??

Unfortunately, it seems there has ALWAYS been a problem getting a response (not to mention a timely response). About 8 months after I sent mine in I called and told them I had sent it in with no response. They took my name & address on the phone and I received it in a couple of weeks. Following is the info I have for them:
Frequent camper Program
HQ AFSVA/SVPAR
10100 Reunion Place, Suite 402
San Antonio TX 78216-4138
Contact info for the AFCP Mgr is/was? Mr Phil Heeg, 210-652-4406, email heegp@agency.afsv.mil

What, may I ask is the Air Force Freq campers program
|
GENERAL INFO:
The cost is $25. It includes the Military Campground directory that sells in the exchange for apx $11.50. It also includes a large vinyl decal, two cloth patches for jackets or whatever, a log book, and several "one free night" coupons. You can use the coupons in AF FamCamps ... one free night when you stay 3 nights or more. You have AF FamCamps sign and stamp the log book when you check, and when you get a certain number of campgrounds logged (different ones, not repeats) you are rewarded with more free coupons. The idea is to get you to stay in as many AF FamCamps as you can. Frequent Camper packets are available for purchase at most Air Force FamCamps. Any authorized users can "join" the program and receive the benefits.

I Found this on U.S. Military Campground and RV Parks

The USAF Frequent Camper Program appears to be having problems. While the program still exists, it's difficult to find new member packets. No new packets were produced for over a year and many Air Force installatins ran out, or have decided NOT to carry them. In late 2007, new packets were being produced and distributed again, but many USAF locations still don't have them. It may take looking around at different USAF FamCamps until you find a new member packet. These new member packets ARE NOT available on the web or through the mail
In addition to the difficulty in finding new member packets, the redemption of moving up to the next tier is experiencing LONG delays. Some users report that it takes more than 6 months to get the next tier returned, or you need to send the upgrade in again, or call the Program Managers office to find out where your upgrade is
These problems are partly attributed to MISUSE by campers. The USAF Frequent Camper Program is meant to get users to visit different USAF FamCamps. It's not meant to be an abused free camping program. Please... only purchase ONE new member packet and use the Campers Cash coupons at different FamCamps. Please obey all rules and don't attempt to get your book stamped at the same FamCamp more than once. Those campers that are abusing this program are runing it for everyone!

Doesn't sound like there is much going on with the program now...
You can read all of it here:
