The entire day yesterday was highlighted in my opinion by the Fly-By of the Lancaster, Spitfire & Hurricane.

You don't get to see these types flying around very much anymore.

I am in total agreement. I believe there are only two Lancs flying anymore. One is Canadian and the other is British. I was in London for the 50th anniversary of Victory in Europe and the same planes flew over then. The sound of all those motors was music to my ears. I was over there doing contract work in Rochester and there was an airfield and one Spitfire. The Spitfire did sevearl flights including low level runs right over the top of us. That Rolls Royce V-12 sounded so good. My whole family is British and my parents were in London during the war. While growning up there I went to a lit of airshows in the 1950's that had Spitfires flying but they al slowly went away.

This is a great video. I think it was filmed at the same airfield where I was on the same time. If not it is an identical twin. Go full screen and turn up the sound.
