Camp Mabry in Austin TX, base & Museum

I would like to invite all yall to go visit the Museum at Camp Mabry in Austin TX. Camp Mabry is off of Mopac Frwy. Open to public with photo ID. Mabry has a wonderful museum with displays going back to the Alamo up to present day. Also many armored vehicles from all wars.
Here is a link.
Museum History one of the states best military museums!

Camp Mabry is home to the Texas State Guard and the Texas National Guard.

Being an expat Texan that looks like an interesting place to visit. The wife and I hope to be in the Hill Country, Kerrville area to east of Austin in the early spring to do one final effort to find a place to resettle.

Wow! I have lived in Austin 35 years and wasn't aware of this museum. Thanks for the tip.

As a matter of fact I was just there (Camp Mabry)last weekend for a meeting. More stuff has been added to the museum recently making it even better.

Also for those who have military ID, the base Exchange store is nice.

The Exchange? I live 4 hours from there, but go there for Texas State Guard and M.A.R.S. I'm a WO1 J6 HQTRS. Signal.
