Could some one tell me if DAV can use military base camp sites?

Viet-Vet You must be 100% service connected to use Military bases so they say. I have never tried as I'm 70%.

Here is a link to a Military Campgrounds Website, look under the authorized users for each campground and it will tell you who is eligible. Believe most, if not all are 100% DAV.

If in doubt, contact the FamCamp manager or the base/post commander's office.

I would contact an armed forces identification card issuance authority and verify your eligibility. I'm not aware of a "70% unemployable" clause anywhere in the applicable regulations. 100% VA disabled entitles you to commissary and exchange benefits and, at the discretion of the installation commander, MWR privileges.
