Blind Marine Reenlists

This is what our young servicemen are made of. Thank you Lord for giving them to us, and thank you for protecting them as much as you can.

Ahh-Men Brother, the problem is I didn't see this on the news on tv, guess it would be too patriotic or right wing for them. They don't want to show that people still love this country.

Thanks Jimmy, but I didn't post it to raise any political disputes. It is posted to bring awareness to our armed forces that are protecting us these days. I spent a few weeks recently at Fort Sam Houston. I should have taken a trip over to the hospital and thanked him personally.

At both Fort Sam, and NAS Corpus, I have seen more and more service members camping in the military campgrounds. I try to make it a point to thank them for their service when I see them.

Happy trails.

I agree that this should not be a political item. Where I do disagree is that with all the negative right now, this could prove to be a rallying point for our troops and all Americans. I salute the corporal and say job well done!

Jimmy,
Trust me! I know how difficult it is to keep some of our thoughts to ourselves. I have been tempted on more than one occasions. I guess I vent it somewhere else.

Thanks.

I never meant to insult or discuss something where it shouldn't be. I just personally know a few soldiers who upon returning from a tour of duty have not been treated all that well and the things they are doing for those people over there to help the children is nothing short of amazing. Yet our Media won't allow those wonderful stories out in the news. Again sorry and I won't speak another word of anything except RV related.

Jimmy,
I have no intent on you not posting non-rv related material, nor is it within my scope on this forum. Please post what YOU feel appropriate. I just didn't want this to turn into a political arena for those that are so inclined. It's a good article and it demonstrates the loyalty that our service men have for our country. I hope that by posting the link here I give others the opportunity to view it, and judge for themselves.

I've been told I'm as conservative as can be. One of my sons even says I'm far right. Of course I don't agree with him because he's far left. Just call me "hawkish."

Whaler,
I don't consider it self censorship. I consider it in keeping withing the guidlines of the forum owner. Thanks.

Well I'm as conservative as they come and sometimes need to be checked because I love to talk politics and love our Men and Women who serve for what we have, FREEDOM.

Gee, I wish I could be "Politically Correct" but it's not my nature. I blame it all on my Cav Trooper upbringing!

Wayne, this is a good thing you have done by posting this article. It makes me proud to know that I, as a sailor a long time ago, can be counted as a small part part of our great force for freedom. This simply shows that some ''little incident'' is not going to keep one of our Good Marines down and away from his post and duties. We should honor our service personnel and thank them for their service to this great nation. I say ''OOOHHHRAAAAHHAA'' for this Marine and that we could all take a lesson from this man.
God bless our troops and keep them safe....
God bless our vets ... ALL GAVE SOME .... SOME GAVE ALL
God bless our Wounded Warriors for their sacrifices for our great nation.

Recently spent 4 nights at campground inside MCRD Parris Island. While there attended a graduation and renewed my faith in younger generation. Nice campground, beautiful golf course. Brought back some really old memories.
