Free wifi at fam camps

Is this a known fact? Recently stayed in FAM/Camp at Mac Dill AFB in Tampa FL. No signals there.. What do you use for your WIFI in your RV? I was told the office offers a Jet Pack for $50.00 month???

To many places have poor to no wifi and I won't use it for paying bills no matter how good it is, so I added a hotspot to my cel service. I still use wefi for emails and forum posting, but to cover us while we are temporary full time, I increase up to 10 G's to cover me.

FAM Camp at Tinker gives out Verizon jet packs for free but you have to put a deposit down to make sure you return them.

FAM Camp at Mayport has free WIFI, FAM Camp at Destin (Ft. Benning) is free.

We use our iPhone Verizon hotspot when we don't have free Wifi and always use our hotspot for financial stuff. During a 3 month travel from January to March, we had free Wifi at Raptor Ranch/Tyndall AFB, NAS FamCamp Panama City, Shields FamCamp at NAS in Gulfport, and Shields FamCamp at NAS Corpus Christi (also free use of laundry washer/dryer). Did not have Wifi at Blue Angel FamCamp Pensacola nor at Fort Sam Houston FamCamp (although up at the office there was a free signal you could catch). It appears to us that the Navy FamCamps seem to have the most free Wifi ... but have only stayed at the FamCamps mentioned so may not be a fair assumption.

We have had trouble with Wifi at MacDill for over ten years. We finally added a hot spot to our Sprint phone, cost about $20.00 per month. The library at MacDill offers free Wifi and free computer use. You have to pay to print. I've never had a problem with the library. If you plan to stay for the winter then Brighthouse can set you up fairly easy.
