Ft Benning - Destin Florida

Stayed for 5 nights last month. Nice, even with the building of the the new FUN WATER PARK. But, many sites are very close. In fact, some of them cannot even handle the SMALL travel trailers that were parked in them. And I'm talking about some 20 footers. Other sites were close to each other, but if it's only two adults, they would be okay. If you have children or grandchildren, I'd say that there will not be enough room for the kids..

It was quiet and as usual [as in any FAM CAMP] friendly.

We looked at that park and you are right it is small. Across the bay in Niceville, FL there is Mid Bay Shores Maxwell/Gunter Rec area. It is really nice. Plenty of room, we travel in a 38' Bounder and tow a 20' flat bed car trailer. The sites are right on the water and have full hook ups. They accept reservations and allow long term stays. Really a nice park. We are spending the winter.
