I got an email from as friend the other day. Someone had sent him a report of a radio conversation heard as they were flying a C-17 out of Dubai.

Iranian Military air traffic controller: "Unidentified airplane, you are in Iranian airspace and must depart immediately"

reply: "Tthis is a British aircraft and we are in Iraqi airspace"

response: "I repeat - you are in Iranian airspace. If you do not depart immediately, I will dispatch air-defence fighter aircraft.

Reply: "If you wish. This is an RAF Tornado. Send your fellows up. I'll wait for them."

Dead silence from the Iranian.
