Houston VA and campground?

Hello, my dh and I are newbies to the forum, and we will be full timers by the end of this month. In February 2016, we have to travel to the Houston VA for a particular test that my husband has to have. Can anyone recommend a campground that would be close enough to the VA? We will be there probably 1+ weeks, since it is an extended test, covering several days. Thanks for any advice you may have. We have a 33ft tt, and the trip in February may turn out to be our maiden voyage, we're not sure if we can get on the road any sooner.

If you are referring to the VA Hospital in the Medical Center area, I can recommend Lakeview RV Resort on South Main (corner of S Main & Hiram Clarke)

It is pricey, but it is fully fenced and gated. Important because it's not the greatest neighborhood.

I was just there for 4 weeks. Most of the people there either work in the Medical Center, or they have health need for themselves or a family member (just like you).

You don't say where your stick house is. But Feb is a bad month travel is some parts of the country. Normally Houston is OK, but we got trapped there by an ice storm one winter...just FYI.

Thanks for our help. We're located in northwest AR, you're right, the weather will be a major factor that time of year. We'll probably push the appointment out some.
