Military Campground in Phoenix area?

DW will be a VA travel nurse. First assignment, Phoenix for orientation/training. The question is - is there a Military Campground within reasonable driving distance to the Phoenix VA Hospital?

If not, other helpful suggestions are appreciated.

Excitedly looking forward to hitting the road soon.

Have DW call or email the Phoenix VA and ask for Customer Service or patient rep offices, they should have the most knowledge of surrounding area and what's available.

Luke AFB is on the west side of Phoenix. I am not sure how far that is from the VA hospital. Here is a link to the site. Gila Bend FamCamp I have never stayed there and have read bad reviews about it but that was a few years ago. It is however, cheap.
