Nellis AFB

Did anyone else spend the Winter here? We have less than 2 weeks before heading North

I've stayed a night there. Spartan but clean.

Just left from two weeks at Nellis. We were impressed enough that we are considering wintering there this next Winter. Talked to several about weather. Seems as good as Central FL...a little cooler than AZ. Lots to do besides gambling.

They have had snow there.. I have parked not at Nellis but fairly close (Several Vegas Parks) woke up one morning to find evidence of snow on my car, Park Security told me it had indeed snowed.

My daughter posted photos of her snow covered picnic table a couple years later

Never lasted long though.

I now winter in South Carolina (Daughter moved to Georgia which,, Well I'm only 3 miles from the border) and weather here.. A lot like Vegas.

I have stayed at Nellis many times over the past 20 years. Great place to stay - great staff. Will return often.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
