Question About Barking Sands Kauai

I know this isn't an RV type question but I'm hoping that one of you may be able to help me out with the following question on the above cottages. My wife and I have reservations for one of the beach cottages which are located at the US Navy's Barking Sands Missile Base located on the island of Kauai Hawaii, I was wondering if any one has rented one of the above cottages might be able to give me some idea of what to expect when we arrive. I know we have one of the 6 older cottages that set back from the beach and set high off the ground on stilts and you need to climb stairs to enter them. I know these units get a lot of use and I'm concerned as to what kind of shape their in, I know the price cant be beat but from looking at the map and where there located it looks as though were going to be doing a lot of driving to see the sights.
