How many lives would have been saved if our Military had been allowed to carry on Base.We train them to protect us,but don't trust them on our on soil,something is wrong with this picture?

Ditto!! The something that is "wrong with this picture" is due to the leftward trend of our military since the early '80s.

Hence the push in DOD to completely eliminate the DOD decals - a huge waste of millions of dollars each year for these stickers and the issuing process. And Security Forces will be the first to tell you they no longer serve any useful purpose. The Decals were designed before insurance was mandatory in all states and the bases had no way verify through computers if a car was properly lisc/registered/insured. They were never designed to be part of security.
