SMART Caravan Club

Just saw mentioned on another thread the S.M.A.R.T. Club for veterans who RV. Looked at their website. Caravan trips are very reasonably priced. Being a vet and considering caravan trips, I am curious what other experiences or opinions are out there. Who has experience with this group? Is it something worth joining? How do they compare in quality on caravan trips? Thanks.

I've been a member of SMART since 12. We were members of the 12 Alaska caravan. That caravan consisted of only 13 RV's, which made traveling and sightseeing very laid-back and convenient. The wagonmasters are unpaid SMART members who volunteer their time and expertise, making caravan prices lower than any other comparable service.
This year we are going on their Maritimes Caravan which departs from Hermon Maine June 19. Matter of fact, a spot just opened up because one of our members has severe health issues and cannot go with the caravan. It's not too late to join the club, and the caravan, if you can drop everything and get to Hermon Maine NLT noon June 19; BUT you must act quickly.
Our national muster this year is at Hemet California in September.
Lots of camaraderie and fellowship there. I'm proud to be a member where everyone has something in common. If you decide this is right for you, call the SMART HQ/office and mention member 13425 if they ask for a recommendation.
