Sorry I'm a Little Late

I meant to post this on Dec.7 Pearl Harbor Day but got side tracked by another story. This is mainly for the Sailors among us but everyone can appreciate the sentiment. I will admit that this clip puts a tear in my eye, I pray for all that have given their life in the service of our country and hope it is not for nothing.

I appreciate your post, thank you.
My dad was stationed on the lead minesweeper for the Atlantic fleet during WWII. He made it home.

Very nice, thank you.
I also remember reading about the naval battle off Guadalcanal in November 1942. That night they went out in cruisers to face battleships and the fleet paid dearly, but saved the Marines and others on the island by their sacrifice.

My FIL who was wounded on Guadalcanal and later in Korea appreciated the Navy enough to allow me, a Navy guy, to marry his only child.
