Don't know if you've thought of it, but many of the military bases have storage facilities for RVs at a quite reasonable price. If you want to use Space A, take your MH to the base and use it while waiting for a flight. Then park it in storage and it'll be waiting for you when you return.

I went to Germany a year ago before the motorhome, but I would have taken Webster if I knew how long I had to wait. Especially if the terminal closes at night.

We haven't tried the park 'n ride concept yet! We have heard that Space A is loosening up for retirees, haven't taken advantage yet.

I hope that some of the folk who have used Space A e-speak up here so we can learn how that's working out.

Space A is not a problem. A lot of it depends on the time of year. For instance, we wanted to go to Germany to see my daughter. We waited until after September 1 when all the schools were open. Travel decreases greatly a that time. Be sure to put your name on the list 3 months before you leave and also call (or email) registration for the return trip 3 months in advance. That places you higher on the list and you only get bumped for AD personnel. We had to change from Ramstein to Rhein-Main after we got there because Ramstein was closed for a couple of weeks with runway maintenance. As a result, we couldn't do the three-month thing and it ended up that it took us three days to catch a flight to Wright-Patterson.

It takes a bit more planning, but the price is worth it. We're planning to go to Hawaii this fall via Space A...not during the summer when everybody goes.
