when I retired after 20 years as a E-7 they rewarded me with $221 per month and I slowly built it up through cost of living raises over 43 years to a reasonable amount. If they do hold off payments until 60 years old by the time the retiree starts collecting it will be way behind the scale earned at that time.

Was the above in response to a removed post or the original one? For surely, mine did not and I do not see the political inference in the original post. Or was it in preparation for future posts. A PM would be nice to if you do not care to answer in the forum.

Thanks, my thoughts also -- unless it was intended as a 'preemptive strike'.

A couple of political posts were removed and we didn't want to close the thread as the topic is important to vets.

Thank you for the removal and letting the thread continue. I am relatively new to most of the RV Forums and concerned what is sometimes construed to be against the rules and not. Although, I check the forum for new posts at least a half dozen times a day, I missed the two that were removed.

I apoligize for my post yesterday.

I like that you have a Military forum. Which the dark side would not allow.

Thank you friends for keeping this thread pleasant and thoughtful. I knew at posting this would be hard to keep directly on topic. It is my wish everyone who reads the American Legion article writes their elected representatives with their views and opinions of these proposals. It is intended for information only, not to induce political talk.
Special thanks to Lori, the rest of the irv2.com team of moderators, administrators, and Andy, for allowing us to have this completely FREE forum to meet and exchange information.

Edit: Sergeant80 Happy you joined us!
