They were black, they were white, they were Muslims, they were Jews, some didn't believe in God at all. They were gay, they were straight. I have lost many friends to the fight of the rightous. If you want to live in peace you must love and cherish all of mankind. Nice video. I wish we all could just get along.

This should be required viewing by every school kid in the USA. I speak to kids now that have no idea even what WW2 was fought for or when it happened. If we dont remember history we are bound to repeat it.
God bless our veterans.......

SeaJay I made my sophmore son watch it. He knows what its about. My Dad was a Navigator on a B-24. His granddad on his moms side was in Korea. And I served in Desert Storm. His uncles my Brothers were all in Veitnam. One A/F Rolling Thunder on B-52's One Navy Tonkin Gulf. One Army feet on the ground. And like I said this always makes me cry and puts a lump in my throat.

Corsair, may God bless you and your family for their service to this great nation. I think that people can do no greater thing than to be in service to this great nation.
My dad was US Navy, WW2, South Pacific, Combat Veteran
My Uncle was US Army, D Day June 6, first wave on the beach, He marched to the Ryan River.
My Uncle Paul was US Navy, Mechanic, Trouble shooter, aviation engineer on many aircraft at Pax. River Air Base. He worked on the bombers trying to get more range out of the fuel they carried. Paul said he flew a million miles and never went anywhere. Every month he would request a combat assignment and every month they would turn him down. They said he was too valuable where he was. Paul always felt ashamed that he never served in combat like Dad and Uncle Harry. He refused to say that he was in the military. Everyone told him what a valuable contribution he made to the service but he refused to believe it. He always said he didn't do ''S**t'' and he so admired true Combat Vets.

Your video brought tears and I have no shame for them.

God bless our WW2 vets and keep them safe .....

I was told the same thing as your Uncle Paul. When Sept 11th happened I had been retired for 2 years. I tried everything I could to get back on active duty. I even emailed a 3 star I flew with 15 years earlier. His Cheif of Staff said what I do at China Lake Naval Weapons Center was more important than me sailing around.

I spent 39 years in the US Army serving this great country and would do it all over again except maybe the wounds. Anyway I believe every young man and woman should be required to spend 2 years in a service of their choice and all of us would be better for it.
