USAA Insurance

I would like to know if anyone on the Military forum is using USAA for their RV insurance. I am purchasing a new TT and was given a fairly good quote by USAA for insurance that is full replacement value vs the market value.

Any experience with USAA for insurance?

Thanks,

I've had USAA for 40 years and would say that their rates and service are the best in the business.

I believe USAA uses Progressive for RV insurance. Thanks for your (sub) service from a retired P-3 acoustic operator.

They use Progressive for MH, don't know about TT. If it was through Progressive, they would have passed you to a Progressive agent. I originally used Progressive, but switched to Allied through Farm and City. Better coverage at a lower cost.

Are you going to insure both your truck and trailer with them?

I had a friend who had two different insurance companies for his truck and trailer. He was driving in heavy snow and the trailer slid around him and damaged the truck and trailer while trying to stop on the freeway.

The two insurance companies said the other one should pay.

Now he doesn't drive in snow and got rid of both insurance companies.

USAA for 47 years. Kids have it, grandkids have it. Consistently rated as the best insurance company.

Just to clarify, I have all my other insurance with USAA and have for the last 38 years. Progressive is not USAA. Don't like their politics and you can do better.

The main question is are you seeking Full-time liability coverage?? That's a horse of a different color and not all insurers offer it.

USAA does use Progressive for Travel Trailer as well as Class A/B/C Motorhomes. For travel trailers, the liability from your auto policy carries over.

Thank you for your Service as a "Squid"!!!

If you are full time then this is not correct. Liability for full time covers you just like the liability on home owners policy. If someone falls in your RV or some orher liable situastion your covered. If you have no home owners then you need this coverage.

No it will not be used full time. I don't know where that got started , but it is NOT full time use. Most likely 55 to 100 days per year.

Thanks,
