The new law also has the potential to change where VA facilities are located. The Mission Act creates an asset-review commission tasked with inspecting VA buildings and recommending which facilities to close and where the VA should invest. Under the terms of the law, the commission will conduct its work in 2022 and 2023.

I don't get this idea lately of passing a bill, but delaying the bad parts until after the accolades for the good parts have been forgotten.

Yea, but I don't have to like it. I left all that beltway junk behind in another life, unfortunately it keeps seeping through the cracks and reappearing.

I have to drive 100 miles one way to go to a VA hospital so when the choice program came out I was excited until I used it. No doctors around here except it so I have still have drive 1-2 hours to be seen. Then the scheduling and wait times. I fell off a 6 ft ladder and got a pretty bad concussion and it took 4 months to get an MRI, good thing I was bleeding in the head or anything. I drove 3 times 2 hours one way dr's the choice scheduled only to turn around and go home because they either wouldnt except choice after any longer or choice didnt send them the correct documents.
