VA mileage reimbursement increase

Eff. Nov 17,08; mileage went from 28.5 cents/mile, to 41.5 cents/mile. Jan 9,09; deductibles decreased to $3 one way, $6 round trip, W/ max. of $18.

Yeah but how far away do you have to be to get this payback??? I am 53.4 miles that my GPS says. They said no....

You may be forced to argue your case with VA. Keep in mind eloquence is much better than confrontation in trying to obtain mileage reimbursement. I think 50 miles is the cut-off.

I drive 66 miles each way and get reimbursed. A lot depends on the address you have on file with them. In the winter we change our address to our winter addy (that's when I get all my VA work done) and after April 1 we change it to our regular mail forwarding address.

Yep, I was on mail fowarding before for years but was for great reasons anyway, We have a new address and i have the gps on it but, anyway I will try again. I may also get another person too! thanks for the info
