VA Nurses

I was just released from the VA Hospital in West Los Angeles after having my right knee replaced. I had my left knee replaced in June 09 and the results were so good I decided to do the right knee right away. The Doctors did a great job, but the nurses are the ones that make your stay in the hospital either good or not so good. The nurses in Orthopedics were so kind, caring and concerned about the entire ward of patients. They work some strange and long hours but always had a smile and a willingness to help.
Thank you to all the men and women who dedicate their lives to helping others in their time of need.

You are so right. My daughter is a nurse here in NC. She works in the Corinary Critical Care Unit dealing with people that have major heart related problems. She gets numberous letters and cards from patients and their families expressing the level of appreciation they have for her loving care.

I NEVER forget the Vets. My number one charity is the Vets (My Page )Other charities, I give to are a few dollars here and there. These guys get my serious dollars.

Back in 1972 there was a campaign to show that people, back home, remembered the MIA's and POW's of Vietnam. It was very simple. For every envelope you mailed, you put on the stamp upside down. So every time you mailed something (being before personal computers was everything) you did this and remembered them. To this day, I still do this.

My grandfather was a retired Marine, my father, retired Marine and my former husband, retired Marine. I have a very good reason to never forget.

So Steve and all of the other Vets on iRV2.com, THANK YOU!!!!!

Sheila

I have had both ACL's repaired, a rotator cuff repaired, a knee replaced, and two motorcycle accidents in 2007. In all those stays in hospitals the nurses have been just great.

Thank you nurse ladies and gentlemen for your care.

YES a BIGthank you to all of the VA for keeping a sick Vietnam Vet alive and as healthy as he is. We have been very blessed to receive superb care at many Va's as we've traveled this great country. You're right that the nurses do a great job often in less than ideal conditions.

Thank you to all who have served and are serving. It's a tough job for sure and equally tough on their families.
