Working new cars in a Chevy dealership. 29 years old, 8 years out since 4 year hitch I n Air Force. Four kids in school. Struggling but happy.

Fifty years ago this month I was a 2LT at Ft Bliss on orders for Viet Nam. I met my wife of 60 years and we got married in February of 68.

I was 24 and had been in the Navy for 7 years, I believe we were on a Med. Cruise don't remember exactly where but we were always Haze Gray and underway to some place

Starting Vietnam pre-deployment leave. A time in my life I doubt I will ever forget. Still think about it almost every day.

You know, I can remember in great detail stuff that happened during my youth, but can't remember what I walked into the kitchen to get just now!
