Did 34 years and enjoyed every minute. Now happy enjoying retirement and camping in something other than a tent. lol

I was US Navy air traffic controller 62 to 66 also. Might have reenlisted if I had been able to get out of the country but as a female it was impossible

They were bad about wasting talent back then. At least now the Navy allows women into virtually all ratings and duty stations. And no doubt sailors of both genders are still writing [moderator edit] on bathroom stalls, so some stuff doesn’t change. ;-)

Over the last 20 plus years, I have served under the command of or attended schools for literally every branch, but most of my service and loyalty goes to the Marine Corps.
