2 Cocker Spaniels Need Homes

The below was posted on another forum by a friend of my wife. We both have a soft spot for pets.

Two Cocker’s Need A Home In The New York, New Jersey Areas.

Can you help? PLEASE... One of my Cocker Spaniel forum members just received a call from their Vet's office: Apparently, a woman that has been going to them for many years has had some type of emotional issue and has decided the only thing for her to do is dump her two older Cocker Spaniels (ages 10 and 13). She at first wanted them put to sleep, but the Vet refused and even offered her free boarding till she could get herself together. She refused and just wants to get rid of them. Is there anyone in the Westchester or New York City or New Jersey areas that can take one or both and perhaps foster until a home can be found? Obviously it could be long term fostering due to their age. Our Cocker forum is currently contacting rescues, but we are hoping to get them homes and not start shuffling them around at their ages. They are both healthy and well cared for. They are currently at the Vet’s office and being cared for temporarily. Thanks so much for your consideration.
