We also have a capuchin. Hanah is an 8 yo (8 in May) white faced, cinnamon capuchin. We bought a pop up a couple of years ago, and have taken her with us when camping in it. While she is very socialized, and normally fine with strangers, we found she was VERY stressed out with the entire experience, and became moody and agressive until she returned to her familar surroundings (home). We haven't had a chance to take her in our "new to us" class c, but I suspect it'll probably be the same experience.

I think I will stick to my dog. I did have a friend when I lived in Panama they had a monkey just like yours. It gave great back rubs and it only cost one banana. As for CG's, just don't take it for a walk with a windup music box and you will be okay.

It's great to know there's another RV capuchin out there. We'll have to keep in touch and compare notes. Sena was stressed on our first trip also -- the long trip home from the dealer. Once we got home and I stocked the kitchen with food she changed her mind about the MH. She has chosen the cab over bunk as her spot and rides next to the window.

We do get a lot of open mouth stunned glances, but hopefully we haven't caused any accidents. Now traffic jams? Guilty on occasion.

Sena was not raised with other pets and is typically nervous around them. The boss had a small morkie puppy the last 6 months that I worked and she learned to be comfortable and even played with him. She did boss him around alot. He quickly learned that she was in charge.

The same pic I posted in yahoo. Link above

OH LORD!! She's just beautiful! I love monkeys, so cute and so human like, but not enough to have a human's lack of innocence. If you can, please post more pictures. I'd love to see some of the service things she does for you!!
(My kids are all agog at her sweet face as well)

I forgot to post a picture of Hanah. This is her on her first trip in the "new" RV. She's not happy about her small travel cage, but for some reason she did considerably better in the RV than she did when we took her in the pop-up.

Hanah is beautiful! Maybe someday we can get our girls together.

Sena has started pacing from the minute she wakes up until we leave the rv. She's lost weight. We picked up our new puppy, Lily. tonight. I hope Lily will help Sena calm down. Luckily she hasn't shown any other behavior issues. I just wish I could figure out the nervousness. We have been parked at my daughter's for 3 weeks. It may be the big, black dog next door. Big, black dogs are very scary according to Sena.

That's exactly what Hanah did when we would take her out in the pop-up, except Hanah didn't even sleep. So we tried leaving her at home a couple of times, and having one of the kids come by to feed her, play with her, etc thinking she would be happier at home. WRONG. She was worse staying at home without us.

We asked our vet about the stress, and was basically told there was nothing we could do about it. Apparently, once they define their "territory", any forced changes (ie taking them out of it to go camping) is a HUGE mental issue for them. Especially since they live in their own little "communities" in the wild. The only thing she could recommend was to either buy her a companion monkey, or keep her physically with us as much as possible, and limit the time alone in her cage. Now she doesn't spend a lot of time in her cage as it is, but we made sure to keep her out unless we absolutely had to confine her, and it actually helped some. The last trip, she was considerably less stressed than on any previous trip. However, I don't see any way to totally eliminate it.

As for the puppy, I'd be very cautious for a while, especially if Sena is already that stressed out. She might not be in the mood to make friends. Hanah has never had a problem with animals because she grew up around a Pit Bull, Rottweiler, and cat. In fact, we usually have to make sure she doesn't just walk up to any dog thinking they want to play with her, lol.

Good luck with Sena, she's beautiful !!!!
