We traveled with two American Eskimo dogs for years. Then in 2013, God sent us a cat! My wife hated cats, but Sheba won her heart and we ended up adopting Jinx from the cat shelter. We have a 45’ Entegra coach now and one of our American Eskimoes list battle with cancer, but everywhere we go; they all go! Since 2013, the cats have traveled about 60,000 miles. We take them to and from coach in crates, but they travel free. Sheba spends a lot of time sitting my wife’s lap. Jinx does not like the noise quite as much, so when we put the slides in, they both sit and ride the slides in. Then he stays under the kitchen table. Have litter box in BR and move it to kitchen area when we travel. They are indoor cats, but they like to see what is outside. Both Sheba and Jinx can open the screen door and get out, but they want right back in. Funniest experience was spending a month in Colorado and we had an enclosed 10x15 screen room with table and chairs. We sit out in the screen room with the cats and dogs. One day we were sitting out and the guy next to us started his Diesel engine and released the parking brake, which makes a loud noise as the air escapes. I saw something pass over me like a flash and through the side of the screen room. It was Jinx! Found him under the coach on the other side! Taped the hole up with duct tape. Every time I see it I think how funny that was and how badly that brake noise scared Jinx! But the still love traveling. Leaving for Florida in two weeks for two months! Like American Express, we won’t leave home without them![emoji76][emoji76][emoji76]

Have 6 cats, 2 small dogs. We full time in a 5th wheel. They travel in soft side crates, 3 in each. (Crates are rated for 40 lbs, and four of our cats exceed 10 lbs).

They go in the crates before anything else. Then to the dining room area while everything else is put away, pulled in. We then move them to the back seat of the truck, wedged in. Then, we bring in the dining room slide.

Cats are the last things out of the truck after everything is set up.

Cat litter boxes are top entry to keep litter in and dogs out. We keep ours in the floor of our closet.

For the cat litter box, I raised our combo W/D about 18" off the closet floor which is easier to load vs bending over. I added a cat door to the closet and the litter box sits on the floor. In our 6 years of full timing, 3 cats used it well. Kitty even has her own outside sliding door to come and go w/leash of course.

Like some of the other posts, our cats scatter when we start the trip. One under the seat, one under the sofa, and one in the bathroom. When I shut off the engine, they immediately come out and start playing. We have small cat trees. We used to have a queen bed but the cats insisted we upgrade to a king. During the day, they usually hang out on the front dash and hiss at strangers. We keep a small roll'n clean litter box behind the passenger seat with a mat. Cleaning the area twice a day. We never leave home without them.

Sadie and Sophie have no problem RVing. As a mater of fact they get excited when they know were going and get into their carriers without being encouraged.

That's a cool looking tent. Is it secure?

Thanks. Yep, we have 2, one for the deck at home and one for the camper. They are approximately 7'x7'x7' and fully enclosed, solid bottom and top with screen walls. The front wall has a large zippered opening. Sophie climbs the walls and they have held up well. Makes for a nice bug free space for us also.
