Well, As to campgrounds giving you grief, I've seen so many dog washes at campgrounds that when I wish to talk about the outside shower, I'm very likely to say "The Dog Shower"

However you can always go to Pet Smart or if in Savanaha Ga Top Dog.

If you go to Top Dog ask for Amy.. (My Daughter)

10 Reasons Why It's Great to be a Dog

1.) If it itches, you can reach it. And no matter where it itches, no one will be offended if you scratch it in public.

2.) No one notices if you have hair growing in weird places as you get older.

3.) Personal hygiene is a blast: No one expects you to take a bath every day, and you don't even have to comb your own hair.

4.) Having a wet nose is considered a sign of good health.

5.) No one thinks less of you for passing gas. Some people might actually think you're cute.

6.) Who needs a big home entertainment system? A bone or an old shoe can entertain you for hours.

7.) You can spend hours just smelling stuff.

8.) No one ever expects you to pay for lunch or dinner. You never have to worry about table manners, and if you gain weight, it's someone else's fault.

9.) It doesn't take much to make you happy. You're always excited to see the same old people. All they have to do is leave the room for five minutes and come back.

10.) Every garbage can looks like a cold buffet to you.

You can check out Pet Co's they sometimes have a place where you can bath and dry your own dog for $20.00, We have an outdoor shower, I have a grooming table that goes everywhere I take my dogs, it is a great investment. You can stand them on it wash and than rinse them off and finish grooming them out. If you wash your dog on a cool or cold day, remember that when a dog gets wet, thier hair acts like a cooling filter, so be sure to wash, rinse and dry them off well. Another thing you can do is after you rinse your dog, wrap them in a good warm blanket to help absorb the wetness, than towel dry. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Keep a nice blanket around after you wash your pet, just wrap them up in it for awhile, this helps adsorb excess water and than towel dry, as their are some places that do not have access to washing your pet. Our RV has an outdoor shower with cold and hot water, which is nice but I know the older models do not. I have found that more and more places either have a doggy wash in campsites and in some cities.

Well... I call the exterior shower on my rig "The dog shower" that said, I don't have a dog, Just cats.

You might try Dog Groomers in the area.. IN Savannah, GA, for example. there is Top Dog, ask for Amy.

I'd recommend asking a local where they take their dog. There are so many really excellent one-person grooming salons struggling to make ends meet. One recently opened in our neighborhood and charged $35 for a full bath and a pedicure.

If you're in Anacortes, check out Erika's Pet Grooming. No connection other than being a satisfied customer.

we also use the outside shower head

last week we were on the WA coast and the RV Park at Long Beach (Andersens) had a "dog wash station" - nice place and we recommend it!

regards, pdq

After observing that our Goldie (RIP) and our Lab didn't enjoy the lakes around here when they were warm we quit worrying about warm baths. When we take the RV out I hook up a separate hose just to rinse them off or if they needed it to give them a bath. We dried them off as best we could before letting them back in the coach but we figured a little clean water wouldn't hurt if they weren't completely dry. To help with the smell we use Head & Shoulders shampoo (Vet Recommended).

None of the campgrounds we stayed at complained. We do keep the water usage to a minimum by using a nozzle attachment on the hose.
