Bicycle Dog Trailer for a Large Dog

My wife and I travel with a nearly four year old Golden Retriever. He loves to run and play, however we would like to do some bike riding and I don't want him running on hot concrete during the warmer months. Does anyone else use a bicycle trailer with a larger dog? Don't want him to get heat stroke but would love to be able take him with us too. This is what I have in mind.

I'm sure it will work. I use something similar for my two grandkids.

I would probably try and come up with some type of tray/pouch etc. for water. The weather and your dog will dictate how much you can use this and I think your dog will love it.

p.s. I would need the triple large dog option.

There are some very nice ones on the market that have a restraint leash and water feeder. Would love to have him run along side the bike, but in hot summer weather it wouldn't be good for him. The trailer seems like an interesting solution.

We have this one, the Large blue one and it need new tires, we drug it all over the place. We bought some solid tubes for the tires to preclude flats in the trailer. It has pockets for leashes, water bottles, a collapsible water bowl and poop bags. It folds down flat, the tongue fold underneath and the wheels come off with the push of a pin, so it packs real easy. It also fits nicely in the back of our Blazer toad. We also have the stroller kit, our old rotty couldn't walk the car shows so he got to ride. When my hips go out, DW will likely leave me in the backyard! :{

It also has a walk thru design, enter from the rear, exit in the front. No turning around. Herc weighed 135, and it carried him nicely. We got two recievers, one for each bike, so each of us could pull him.

Thanks, I had not run across that one yet. How sturdy is the floor?

Pretty sturdy, it's got a thick plastic flooring sewn into the fabric body. But not as sturdy as I like, so I put 2 plies of 1/4 inch plastic card board for lack of the real title. Got that stuff at Lowe's. Comes with a thinish washable pillow.
