What have you found that keeps your animals from tearing up things while you’re gone or just keeps them occupied?
I had a terrible problem with one of my pems, he had skin problems. I searched and searched and found a very nice dog store in town that specialized in “higher end products” I guess you could say. But they help me tremendously! From Dog food to chewing. I switched the dog food to Solid Gold boy did that help.
I had chewing problems when the pup was brought home. The Clerk introduces me to Raw Bones. She told me to keep them in the freezer and to make sure that after the dog stopped working on the bone to place it back into the freezer. I could also fill the bone with peanut butter after the dog ate the marrow. Boy was this a furniture saver! I have recently move and found a new vet. The Vet looked at my boys teeth and said “Do you brush his teeth they look good” I said no, that is the raw bones. LOL

So what do you use?

Great topic. When the mastiffs are young we use a variety of things to keep them from chewing the furniture. We don't use marrow bones but instead knuckle bones. Keeps them busy for hours!
Also exercise--a tired puppy is a happy puppy and happier owner We don't run or walk mastiffs when they are young--too damaging to the joints possibly but we do swim them! When Sparkle was a puppy she would swim about 30-60 minutes a day! She LOVES her pool. She would sleep for hours after it. It is the best for young dogs as it is non weight bearing but great exercise for growing joints.
We feed a raw diet so our dogs have bones every day to eat. I know what you mean about clean teeth. Vets always mistake the ages of our dogs based on their teeth. I have never paid for a teeth cleaning yet
Other great busy toys--fill a kong with peanut butter or that soft cheese.
We also use crates so when we are not around, puppies cannot get hurt or destroy things.

Found a toy yesterday at my favorite pet store. It’s made out of fire hose material.

I don’t think the Pems will have a chance to rip to squeaker out of this one!!
