Here is a picture of the overhead gate that I made for our cats for our C-class.

It has doors on the sides that slide up so that they can go in and out while camping and large swing out doors that allowing cleaning and rearranging.

Very nice! Fortunately my cat is more dog-like and has to ride in the front seat the whole time. She'll sit on the seat with her paws up on the dash staring out the window like my buddies dog does. Then again I take her for walks on a leash and such.

Yeah the cats love it. Haven't made trip with them yet but take them out and let them spend the day there.

Here is where I put the litter box. This is into one of the cargo departments under one of the beds.

We take all seven of our cats with us, each has a favorite spot to ride. Put the litter box in the shower, it gets scooped daily or even more often depending on the odor!

We also have two "Kitty Kondo's" that we put out, one on each side of the MH. We used to sell the Kondo's but it just got to be too much money to tie up when they raised the production cost. I also made plexiglass window inserts with small pet doors in them but it was a nice day and didn't have them in when the picture was taken.

White and Black is GP Hoofnpaws Noah and the smaller one is Tomiko. Both are Japanese Bobtails or JBT's for short. Noah is a retired Cat Fanciers Association Grand Premier. Tomiko is a pet quality JBT.

This is Willow or Will for short:

We "inherited" him (along with two grandkids) when my step daughter died. He was supposed to be a girl but the vet said we needed to change his name to Will when we took him in to be fixed! He has the deepest blue eyes you'll ever see.

How in the world do you RV with your cat? I'd be terrified that if the door was wide enough for her to get through she'd be gone!
Actually, I don't want to leave our cat behind, she's such a doll, but convincing my DH to take her would be a _itch! I've already snuck a pom puppy on him and he swears that no park around our area would take us with 3 dogs.

We just have to be careful when going in or out. It's really not much of a problem although none of ours are really into running out the door, they're more just curious.

OMG! I am so glad you posted this! I have a pigeon that's going to be fulltiming with me, and just this morning I was telling my dad, about this idea I had, for "caging off" the overhead cab and turning it into an aviary for him. What you did for you cat is exactly what I had in mind to do for my pigeon! I was trying to figure out what it would look like and how to do it, and you picture shows me exactly how to do it. Thank you so much!

I'm doing this too. I've got 11 cats (in addition to the pigeon) and I'm using a big under-bed-tote for the litter box, and thinking of putting it under the sofa cabinet/drawer. It'd look almost exactly like what you did when I get done with it, if I do that. Not sure yet. My motorhome has a tub in it and I'm also thinking it might be easier to just the box in the tub (would make it easier to clean up "around the box" spills, rather than trying to scrub them out of the 2" thick lime green shag carpet that covers the rest of the rv (it's a 1975, so, nice big deep - very lime - green shag carpet - great to sit on, murder to clean cat poo out of!)

You have done some great renovations for your kitties. I love the idea of the overhead compartment for them where they can stay safe. You should share this with our RVing with Pets Facebook group. We know include all types of pets.

Ah yes, but when they want to run to the store they have to break camp and re-set up when they get back... or they have to maintain a Towed. Anyone can screen in the upper bunk of a bunkhouse bunk-bed for pets.
