I use a clumping litter. At home, when the cat box needs attention I remove the urine clumps and bag them for disposal. For the feces, I screen off as much litter as possible and then flush them down the toilet.
When camping with kitty, I've been following the same procedure. However, I'm concerned about the small amount of litter that is still attached to the stools that I flush. Does anyone know if, over time, this could cause any problems with the holding tank, valve, hoses, etc. I've not noticed any issues so far and use a Quickie Flush from time to time to rinse out the tank.

yes, litter in the black tank can and eventually will cause you problems with the dump valves as will hair, 2 ply toilet paper and any other foreign material in the black or gray tank.
we use the petsafe simple clean litterbox in the shower of our moho with arm and hammer multi cat clumping litter. we dispose of the used litter in the garbage.
we have 2 15.5 year old cats that live with us full time in our moho.

Yep, take this good advice. There are a lot of reasons that simply using a plastic bag in the garbage is the way to go.

We used to have a cat in the RV. We used the garbage not the sewer to dump the litter box cleanings.
