To get things going on the site, I was wondering what type of Holiday gifts everyone gives their furkids---IF they give them gifts.
I know the mastiffs LOVE to open presents--I buy a few new stuffed toys and then wash some of the old ones and wrap them all with paper. they LOVE to shred the paper and find each present . Makes for great pictures too
Course as a good mommy I have to make sure everyone gets the same number of presents as they stand around watching if they don't have one to open.
Love to hear from others regarding this.......
Blessings,

When we had a stick house, the dogs all had their own stockings and would enjoy pulling their new toys out on Christmas morning. Last year was our first in the motorhome and we were remiss in the gift department, but we spent Christmas day with our daughter Shannon, her hubby and some of his family and Shannon got presents for all the dogs. I don't know what we'll do this year. Their toy box is pretty full. I may take a page out of M2Ms book and wash some old toys and wrap them up.

This reminds me of a conversation we had with our vet regarding treats given to two of our previous Shelties. One of the Shelties needed to lose weight, but really couldn't understand why she didn't get a treat when the other Sheltie did. The vet's statement was, "You know, the dogs can count, but they can't measure." She suggested breaking the treat into smaller pieces and giving the overweight Sheltie a small piece whenever the other Sheltie received a full treat. That satisfied both of them since they each received something, and the overweight Sheltie didn't notice that her piece was smaller than the other Sheltie's treat. So, I guess it's true - they can count even if they can't measure.

Our pems love to open presents. Sometimes they get into our presents to early…lol. It’s the paper; they love to shred the wrap or cardboard.
Unfortunately stuff toys do not last very long, they go after the squeaker. Once the squeaker is out they ignore the toy.

DON'T GIVE UP
My wife runs an in home daycare and it takes her a long time to train the toddlers to pick up the toys and put them back on the shelf
What happened to giving cats presents? Does anybody give Christmas presents to their little cat furbabies?
We don't but maybe we should

We do--little toy mice. Problem is that the mastiffs tend to eat them if they are on the floor. We also tried the laser light but Spice goes nuts chasing it and then beats up the cat, Roscoe when he tries to get it
Roscoe also LOVES the Indigo Moon kibble by Solid gold. most of the time he gets raw which the dogs also get. however he goes nuts for the kibble. We call it "kitty crack" as he tries to get into the container in the pantry and runs into the pantry every time we go in there!
