Dog Friendly parks

Had posted for suggestions on RV parks in the southeast, but thought it would be better to separate topics. In looking at the great suggestions we ran across an issue. We own 3 dogs (Not all going at once), problem being one is a Lab-pit mix and its been difficult to find a park to accept him. This has devastate my wife, who decided on RV life because she could travel with her dogs. He is the most loving dog. Our cockapoo, he can be ornery.. LOL. Hoping someone out there has some RV park suggestions based on their own experience. Thanks

Good luck with that Pit Mix......Insurance Underwriters use 'statistics' to set policy restrictions. Propensity to bite and damage inflicted by bite.
CG Owners have to abide by the Insurance restrictions IF the want to have active coverage......to do otherwise would be foolish due to 'sue happy' climate.

Not only do you have 'aggressive BREED' restrictions but 'number of pets' AND even 'Max Weight' limits. TWO pets very common and Max of 25# or 45# were some limits we encountered during our FT travels with our 78# Border Collie/Lab Mix

Due diligence on YOUR part will make traveling easier.
MUST check ahead with CGs for 'pet policies'
State/National CGs do not have those types of restrictions

Thanks, very disheartening. I truly understand their points, but my small dog is far more aggressive. Its a shame the way some treated these dogs caused a bad reputation. He is part of the family so its finding some where we can go or sell the new RV.

We travel with 4 Dachshunds, it's not always easy. We don't have breed issues, but often quantity. Have to look at their pet policy online and hold them to it. If they don't have a limit and I make a online reservation, I hold them to it.

Three can be just as tough I'm sure. You have a Lab mix, leave it at that! Might be harder though if it looks more like a Pit...but if it doesn't, it's just a Lab mix.

We always try to be honestly creative. I go into check-in wearing the doggie bag holder on my belt and make a point of showing it to them and that I never go anywhere without it. I guarantee them there won't be a problem. I haven't had to use it yet, but I'm prepared to tell them I have two dogs, and the woman I am traveling with (my wife) has two dogs. Their policy isn't clear whether it's two pets per camper (person) or camper (rig).
