I am lying in bed with a major head cold and a shot of medicinal brandy onboard-so may not be in my right mind. That being said, we are embarking on a major trip in the spring. Route will be Roanoke, VA, Denver, San Fransisco, north to join an AK tour starting in BC. Returning on a route TBD in early September which will hit Glacier NP.
We have many miles under our belt and travel with two West Highland Terriers. We would be willing to pick up and transport (NON LETHAL) dogs needing to be moved to new homes. We are thinking, of course, of rescue situations and would need to pick up and drop off reasonably close to our route.

Previous experience is 50k miles in an Endura and now have a new Winnebago Adventurer. If there is a situation that we might help with contact me directly at jimbetts2@gmail.com.

God bless you for your offer. We are owners of a rescue dog that made the trip from Tennessee to Massachusetts via commercials carriers. Thankfully the drivers were very professional and caring young men. Have heard some horror stories. Good luck with your trip and your cold. Feel better and travel safe.

Interesting concept... Wonder if "somewhere" there is a site catering to this need?
We've traveled a total of 4,900 miles just to pick up our "girls" (see signature). 3,800 of those miles were at 8 mpg. Worth every dollar!
