We are soon to become fulltimers and will be the slaves to two 9 year old cats .

We have used Exquisicat Crystal litter for years. With this litter we scoop poop then flush. Some of the litter goes into the toilet as it sticks to the poop.

I'm wondering if we can continue this practice with the black tank as the repository (we don't empty the litter box into the toilet when it needs changing). I've done a test and the litter doesn't seem to disolve.

Does anyone use it? Suggestions?

i don't do it. some of the litter will collect on the bottom and sides of the tank and plumbing eventually causing problems.
our 2 13 year old furkids (cat critters) use arm & hammer multi-cat clumping litter in a littermaid ultra electric litter box that just fits in the shower. i use 4 gal trash bags in the litter collection tray. i add a little arm & hammer liter box deodorizer in the collection tray.
the only things that goes in our black tank are water, poop, pee, single ply toilet paper, campa clean packets, and a capful of calgon liquid water softener from wally world. calgon keeps the sensors working.
toilet paper and other contaminates can collect in the groove of the dump valve seals. i flush the black tank well before closing the dump valve to prevent this.

I would not do it. If you have ever had a problem with a black tank or valves, the repair is not pleasant. Especially, for the repair person! Especially, if you are the repair person!

Thanks guys you have confirmed what I thought. We will need to dispose of the poop another way. I appreciate you taking the time to respond.
