Hi We are going to FW this July and are bringing the two dogs,Springers, has any body had their dogs in the kennels that are at FW.I was wondering how they are set up,and if anybody left their dogs there,we are going to leave them during the day only, and stay with us at night,we will be staying in a dog loop, there isn't any pictures of the kennel on the WDW site. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Rick & Robin and Schaffer & Bella

I have two dogs but we have not traveled to Fort wilderness with them. We were just there a week ago for my Birthday & vacation for a week. They have a fantastic dog park right by the #500 loop entrance, which is where we stayed. The sites in this loop are premium and have been extended and widened.
I do know Disney requires up to date vacinations with proof before they can stay in the kennel. If you have not made your reservations I suggest you do so ( they need to know you are traveling with a pet, because not all loops are pet friendly. It can be difficult to get reservations at times, but keep trying if you can't get a reservation.
One thing I do know is, everything that Disney does is First Class all the way. Even though they do not run the kennel, they have the right to dictate what goes on inside or they will be out of there. The kennel is located up by the main entrance to Fort Wilderness. You cannot walk your dog to the kennel (signs prohibiting),and too far anyway from the campsites
Good luck and Hapy Cammping.

this is a link to the kennel at fort wilderness. it is not owned/run by disney anymore. from what i hear it isn't as nice or as clean as disney had it. but, people still say they will use it. so, it is still acceptable in their opinion. i have never used the kennels myself.
