We're coming to the end of a week at the Cocopah RV & Golf Resort in Yuma, Az and I wanted to pass along what a unique spot it is for dog lovers. There is a 2.5 acre lawn area as a dedidated dog park. This is not fenced but dogs are supposed to be leashed or "under voice control". It's a very social setting and all the dogs get to know each other. All week long we didn't see a single "incident" between the dogs.

The park was actually laid out for park models and they occupy about half of the spots but the sites are a large 35x60. The place is full of mosty snow birds and everyone seemed very friendly. It actually reminds me more of a Sun City retirement community than an RV resort because they have so many activities... craft shop, wood shop, quilting, fitness center and an 18 hole golf course with a cantina and grill.

We paid about $43/night but there are very few short term folks here. A great spot for the dogs!!!

We just spent the month of December there and agree, it's a very dog friendly RV park. Friendly people, nice ammenities and a driving range in addition to the golf course. The monthly rate was only $450/month.

It is a great park. We spent a month there a few years ago and loved it.

Every morning we would take our dogs to their park where most dogs were running free. Most mornings there was a little white dog that would gather up a train of dogs to chase her. To the shock of their owners, she would eventually lead them through a puddle of water and mud. Later in the morning we would watch the little white dog's human washing her at their campsite.
