Just wanted to post our solution to placement of the litter. I researched earlier and found a few posts of putting the litter in the shower or in the basement. after calling monaco, I was able to determine a location that suits us and the kitties!

I removed the vent panel under the fridge and took out 3 of the slats toward the bottom of the panel. I then drilled some pilot holes from the basement up to determine a location to cut a hole about 8 x 8. using a reciprocating saw, I cut a hole through the floor. we then used some old bath carpet to put on the hole. a small ramp/ladder covered with a piece of typical floor carpet to take them down under.

I made a 3 piece barrier with duct tape and brown board from lowes. we then taped plastic to the floor and partly up the brown board. put their litter box and a light for them. have been getting them to practice going up and down over the last couple of days!

we leave thursday; hope this works out as I don't like the box in the shower!

hope this helps anyone else out there

Thanks for sharing!

(I'm always looking at potential new Class A floorplans to see how cat-friendly they are, which makes everyone else think I'm nuts, LOL!!! Hey, my cat it my baby so I don't care! )

We have our kitty pan underneath one of the dinette benches, with a cat door installed at the end. Kitties can get in, doggies can't. It's also out of sight.

Since all we have is seven (7) cats now we just put the litter box in the tub/shower. A little inconvenient as we have to leave the shower door open, but it does work.
