Litter disposal

While on the road how do you dispose of cat litter?

Bag it and drop it in a dumpster. Most campgrounds have dumpsters available.

Just a note: Public campgrounds in PA, NY and other places have started to adopt a 'Pack in in, Pack it out' mentality. Some campgrounds expect you to take your trash home with you. Ok if you live nearby, but when we toured the area (we're from N CA) in 2015, we found it almost impossible to find a place where we could throw our trash. If there are 100+ campsites in a campground, I find this to be a public health issue. Sure its cheaper for the park to shut off garbage service, but what if your small town did the same-just to save money. No discount on the camping fees, however!

To answer rfsod48 question, I usually place the spoiled cat litter into a Walmart or grocery store plastic bag, tie and seal it, and then deposit the bag into a trashcan or dumpster.

But I second what cruzbill said. We ran into that also. But there are always trashcans somewhere along the way. Fueling stations, grocery stores, Walmarts etc.
