Looking for a pet raccoon.
If anyone knows of anyone with baby raccoons for sale, please let me know. Google is letting me down. It seems they are harder to find than I thought.
We miss our Sophie girl and want to replace her with a newer model. She was my napping buddy.

I am afraid that would never happen. She has never even met one. Would want to make friends and adopt the babies.

Miss Chloe Beth is currently asleep under my desk in a box with a milk coma. LOL
She better get ready for the lake 'cause the inaugural first camping trip for 2016 is this weekend!

Them some cute rascals!
So people actually have them as pets?
Never seen that...

You bet. They are great as pets if you have patience and dedication. The reason you get them in the bottle stage is so they bond with you as they open their eyes and what not.

That is simply amazing...would be a great scene walking one on a leash.

It would indeed, however, the permit I have for her is only for our premise. They said I can take her with me now while she is small since she needs a bottle every 3-4 hours, but I can't just go to the lake when she is bigger and walk her. I was very disappointed. Our old one was a wild rescue but leash broke. Hopefully this new baby girl will be a tad more tame.
Here is our old one, Sophie. ....video was shot with a potato.

I was going to say it was illegal to have them as pets. As it stands it seems it happens but I would be careful where I traveled to with one.

It is NOT illegal in ok. I have a non-commercial breeder's license. It costs me $10 a year. Or I could get a commercial breeder's license and sell babies for $48.50 a year. It varies from state to state. Our is legal and I have papers.

FWIW - I expected you were covered or you would not post on an open forum. I just was not sure how. ;-)
