Today we had to put Roxi down, she was 15 1/2 years old and had a good life. This morning she either had a stroke or a seizure of some kind. Either way we had to say goobye to our old friend.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Our animals really do become a part of our family. It is hard to lose a faithful companion.

MountainKowboy...
My heart goes out to the two of you..along with Dixie & Hanna.

It is always very hard to go through something like this. Remember all the great journeys she had with you...and keep those thoughts always in your head & heart...

So sorry for your loss, sounds like she had a good long life.
I found some comfort with the following "Rainbow Bridge" when I needed it, hopefully you will too. All the best.

"Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... "

I am sad for you. I have been there. Isn't it funny how loosing a pet is as hard as loosing a friend?

Mountainkowboy, you have our condolences. We sent our beloved 'Penny' to the Rainbow Bridge a year ago last March. She had a wonderful life of 13 years. It's tough losing your best friend. We feel for you.

mountainkowboy you have our condolences as well. We had to put our Tiger down a month or so ago. It is always so hard to make that decision. It is almost like losing a child. You will ghet to see her again one day, but until then you have your happy memories of your time together.

So sorry to hear....our hearts go out to you.

We've been there four times in our lives but we always seem to remember the wonderful times we had with our pets, and another one finds their way into our lives. We found our current furkid lost and afraid on the side of the road 4 1/2 years ago. I just try to be the guy he seems to think I am.

Chuck, Ruth, Dixie, Hanna,

You have our deepest sympathy and condolences. I have an 11 year old Pug & a 10 year old Boston I know the time will come and I am not at all looking forward to dealing with it! As was said before it is realy something how well we get attached to our furry little friends. Unless you have had a friend like them you could never truly understand this. I know before I had them I could not understand how folks got so upset over the lose of a pet!
