Make a paste (using water) from Boric acid or Borax and sugar. Spread this on squares of thick paper and let dry. Place in the areas where you see the ants. In a few hours, the things will be covered with ants. Let them feast....they carry it back to the nest and it kills them.
You can also buy a commercial version of this.

A professional exterminator told me Boric acid loses it killing ability if it gets damp. I moved into an apartment with roaches and had been using Roach Prufe. Once I switched to pharmacutical grade boric acid powder they were gone for good. Sugar helps attract sugar eating ants, but some eat grease. It doesn't poison them, but does something to their body that is deadly after a period of time. Just walking thru it is enough. If you liberally sprinkle where they come and go they'll track it back to the colony.
I also checked to see how poisonous it is because of Sena. It is only slightly more deadly to humans and pets than common table salt. And no odor.

You will never get rid of ants with any kind of poison. What borax and other ant "killers" do is that the worker ants do die in the hill, and if the queen ant feels threatened they will just pick up and move. One day you will have lots of ants, next day none.

Ex-Lax works also. Put some on a paper plate and they will eat and then go somewhere and explode.

You also need to find out where ants are entering/exiting your rig and treat those areas too. Check your tires, jack stands, utility lines, and anything else that touches the ground from your unit.
I once had a case of ants that were entering my trailer via my electric cable. I didn't have any boric acid (my favorite ant eliminator) at the time so I took some duct tape and wrapped it sticky side out around the electric cable. The ants didn't like that at all and it slowed the ones that attempted to crawl through the sticky side of the tape. After I purchased some boric acid, I dusted the electric cable with it. The dryness of the powder caused many of the ants to fall off as they walked through it. I had to re-apply it often and it's difficult to get enough of the boric acid powder to adhere to the underside of the cable but, eventually, they were gone.

We camped where they had a lot of ants. Of course they got inside, despite our attempts to keep them out with chemicals. One of our neighbors said he had purchased the "Ant Motels" at Walmart and they worked great. We did it, putting them in the bathroom, kitchen, dinette area and dashboard ( don't ask me why they were there). It took a few days but they were gone. Simply lay them on the counters and under the cabinets. I laid one on the dinette cushion where I normally put my purse. My purse was full of ants!!
We could not use traditional any killer inside because of our cats.
